This statement explains how long Adaptify Education ("Adaptify") retains each category of data, and how deletion works. It supplements our Privacy Policy. Our guiding principle is simple: we keep your data for as long as your account is active so the service works for you, and we delete it when you ask us to.

You can delete any resource at any time from the dashboard. Deleting a resource removes the source file from cloud storage and the extracted and generated content from our database, along with the associated processing artefacts. This is a permanent deletion, not a soft delete — once removed, a resource cannot be recovered.
Learner profiles can be archived when they are no longer needed, which removes them from your everyday views while keeping any associated history intact. If you would like learner profiles permanently deleted, contact us and we will remove them.
If you would like to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at support@adaptifyeducation.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. This removes your account information, learner profiles, uploaded documents, generated resources, and the associated processing data from our live systems. Residual copies in routine backups are overwritten on our provider's normal backup cycle.
If you stop using Adaptify but do not ask us to delete your account, your data remains in your account so you can return to it. Nothing is transferred to us as our own — your documents and generated resources remain yours (see our Terms of Service). Once you request deletion, we retain only what we are legally required to keep (for example, basic transaction records where a paid plan was in place), and only for as long as required.
Your account data, documents, and generated resources are hosted in the United Kingdom. Some specialist processing — in particular certain AI features — involves trusted sub-processors that may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. A full list, including locations and transfer mechanisms, is available to schools and organisations on request.
